Release the Plovers
Snowy Plovers Released The Navy's Cooperative Agreement with the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and SeaWorld sees the release of healthy Snowy Plovers that were hatched from abandoned eggs recovered by Naval Base Coronado's Environmental biologists. The eggs were turned over to SeaWorld, one of the Alliance partners. SeaWorld then nurtured the eggs to maturity before returning the fledgling birds to the Navy for release back into their natural habitat.
